Brian Hansen, an MD/PhD candidate at The Ohio State University, works in the laboratory of Dr. Vadim Fedorov where he investigates atrial arrhythmias. His research focuses on sinus node dysfunction – the leading reason for pacemaker implantation – and atrial fibrillation, the most common cardiac arrhythmia. Hansen works on living, beating human hearts using 3-D imaging to gain insight into heart arrhythmia. Recorded September 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio.
