Through Ohio State’s new Diabetes Research Center, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to developing innovative research, patient care and education programs in order to manage, prevent and cure diabetes. This interdisciplinary center conducts clinical trials and basic research in diabetes and translates new discoveries into patient treatment and education. The Center focuses on islet cell, pancreas and kidney transplantation; neoteric modes of insulin delivery and islet cell implantation devices and improved methods of management and prevention of diabetes.
Gifts to support the Diabetes Research Center will advance the diabetes research conducted by Ohio State’s talented and committed scientists who are focused on improving quality of life, preventing long-term complications of diabetes, and providing a cure for those who have the disease.
