A BRAVO TO RECOGNITION PROGRAM AT OSU MEDICAL CENTERThe Ohio State University Medical Center’s BRAVO employee recognition program has been honored with a 2009 “Best in Class Award” for recognition strategy by Recognition Professionals International, a non-profit association that practices enhancing employee performance through recognition. OHIO STATE’S BURN TEAM HONORED AT NATIONAL CONFERENCESeveral members of Ohio State University’s Burn Center were honored at the annual meeting of the American Burn Association (ABA). Dr. Sidney Miller, director of Ohio State’s Burn Center, was elected president elect of the ABA and will assume the presidency at next year’s conference. Becky Coffey, a registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, serves on the association’s prevention committee, Sherman Everett, the center’s chaplain, is a program and ethics committee member, and Dr. Jeff Eakin, a surgical resident, presented “Comparison Outcomes for Burn Patients Cared for in Trauma Centers Based on Two National Registries.” OHIO STATE’S NEUROSCIENCE PROGRAM RECEIVES AWARDSThe National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has awarded the Ohio State University Medical Center two research training grants, specifically for spinal cord injury and neurosurgery, to foster training of investigators in basic and clinical neurosciences. ANDERSEN NAMED DIRECTOR OF SURVIVORSHIP CENTERBarbara Andersen, a member of the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Control Program, has been named director of the Lance Armstrong Foundation Survivorship Center at Ohio State.### Contact:Sherri L.
