OSUMC's Stroke Rehab Program CARF AccreditedPosted 5/23/2006

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The stroke rehabilitation program at the Ohio State University Medical Center recently received a three-year accreditation, making it one of only nine in the nation with the honor.

In addition, the rehabilitation program was the first accredited program in Ohio.

The Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recognized the program as one of the select programs nationwide meeting the highest standards in quality and safety, providing risk reduction and accountability.

Dodd Hall also is the only rehabilitation center in Ohio to be CARF accredited for stroke and brain injury.

Dodd Hall’s leadership in stroke rehabilitation for Columbus is consistent with its superior accreditation scores for other types of rehabilitation. Under the leadership of academic brain injury specialists who understand brain recovery, patients receive cutting-edge care with the newest and best treatment techniques.

OSU Medical Center’s Dodd Hall is consistently ranked as among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report Magazine.
