Neurobiology of Disease Institute

Michael Beattie, PhD, Director

The OSU Neurobiology of Disease Institute provides a forum for basic and clinical scientists to collaborate across department lines in translating basic cellular and molecular neurobiology into clinical therapies for neurobiological disorders. A steering committee is guiding development of this new institute, which is directed by Michael Beattie, PhD, chair of the OSU Department of Neuroscience. The Institute is emphasizing several major areas of research, including neuromuscular disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, neuro-oncology, movement disorders, cognitive neurology and spinal cord injury. Each of these areas has strong clinical and basic science research programs.
