The Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research (IBMR) houses The Ohio State University’s multidisciplinary program in psychoneuroimmunology. The IBMR stimulates and expands interdisciplinary collaborations for studying social and behavioral influences on stress hormones and the immune response, as well as the health implications of those interactions.
Psychoneuroimmunology faculty represent five colleges (Medicine; Public Health; Dentistry; Veterinary Medicine; Social and Behavioral Sciences), seven academic departments (Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics; Psychology; Psychiatry; Internal Medicine; Oral Biology; Biostatistics; Veterinary Pathobiology), and two Health Sciences Centers at Ohio State: the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute and the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
