Patient Transfers
Ohio State's Transfer Center is open 24/7 and provides assistance with obtaining an accepting physician and transfer of your patient. Call 800-293-5123, Press 1. The Transfer Center, which is staffed by registered nurses with clinical triage skills, offers:
- Hospital-to-hospital direct admissions
- Physician consultation
- ED to ED transfers
- Arrangement of transport for critically ill patients
Please have available when you call:
- Patient name
- DOB
- Social Security Number
- Patient's family or referring physician's name
- Diagnosis
- Summary of current clinical course
- Services needed by your patient
