Patient Meals

Nutrition Services staff are committed to providing you with high quality care. Throughout your stay, Nutrition Services staff will communicate with you about your concerns and offer additional food suggestions based on your needs.
 
Patient meals are served during the following hours:
     Breakfast     7:45 a.m.–9:15 a.m.
     Lunch          11:45 a.m.–1:15 a.m.
     Dinner          4:45 p.m.–6 p.m.

Late food service is available for meals after dinner hours until 11:30 p.m. Please contact your nurse to use this service. Many snack and beverage selections are also available on your patient care unit for between meals.

At University Hospital East, meals are served to patients during the following hours:
      Breakfast    7:30 a.m.–9 a.m.
      Lunch         11:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m.
      Dinner         4:45 p.m.–6 p.m.

Patient meal service exact times can vary by patient unit.

University Hospital East 

Seasons Garden Café
Located on the ground level of the Tower building, Café hours are:
Monday-Friday 6:45 a.m..–6:30 p.m.
Weekends and holidays 7 a.m. .–6 p.m.

The Scarlet Ribbon Gift Shop also provides snacks and soft drinks. Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Vending Machines
A vending area with a microwave oven is located in the Seasons Garden Café. The vending area and café seating are available 24 hours per day. Snacks, sandwiches and beverages are available.

Skyward Concessions
Located outside the hospital main entrance, Skyward Concessions is an outdoor mobile food cart which offers hot sandwiches, including gyros and bratwurst, chips, snacks and beverages.
Weekdays 11 a.m.–3 p.m., weather permitting.

OSU Campus

Seasons Café
Located on the first floor of Rhodes Hall, Seasons Café offers complete meals as well as a la carte items. Hours of service are:
     Weekdays    4 a.m.–7 p.m.
     Weekends and holidays    7 a.m.–6 p.m.

Espress Oasis
Located in the corridor between the 12th Avenue parking garage connector and the Doan Hall first floor hallway, the Oasis serves pastries, coffees and other beverages.  Hours of service are:
     Weekdays    6 a.m.–7 p.m.
     Weekends    6 a.m.–6 p.m.
     Holiday hours vary.

Wendy’s
Located on the ground floor between Doan Hall and James Cancer Hospital.  Hours of service are:
     Daily   10 a.m.–3 a.m.
     Holiday hours vary.

Cheryl & Co.
Located in the corridor between the 12th Avenue Parking Garage connector and Doan Hall, first floor. Serving fresh-baked desserts (cookies, sliced and whole cakes), cookie dough in containers and confectionary gift items.  Hours of service are:
     Monday-Friday   7 a.m.–8 p.m.
     Saturday and Sunday   10 a.m.–6 p.m.
     Holiday hours may vary.

Scarlet Ribbon Gift Shop
Located in the Rhodes Hall lobby.  Offers a variety of candy, snacks and beverages.  Hours of service are:
     Weekdays    8 a.m.–8 p.m.
     Weekends    10:30 a.m.–7 p.m.

Hospitals Garage Café
Located in the Hospitals Garage next to the Ross Heart Hospital. Restaurants include: Wall Street Deli, Bonjour Cafe, Maurizio's and Mark Pi's. Hours vary by restaurant.

Vending Machines
Located throughout the Medical Center, vending machines are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering snacks, beverages and entrees in larger areas. Change machines are also provided.

Skyward Concessions
With two locations on the OSU Medical Center campus, Skyward Concessions is an outdoor mobile food cart offering hot sandwiches including gyros and bratwurst, chips, snacks and beverages.
     Weekdays    11 a.m.–3 p.m. weekdays, weather permitting.
