The OSU Center for Wellness and Prevention (CWP) is central Ohio's first and most comprehensive medically managed prevention and wellness center.
The Center For Wellness and Preventions staff consists of: dietitians, exercise physiologists, nurses, a respiratory therapist, physicians, behaviorists and health educators. We offer a variety of health and fitness programs to meet the needs of the healthy athlete or an adult with physical challenges. Aerobic and strengthening exercise equipment and specialty classes that are included in the membership cost are: yoga, aerobics, strength training, Body Recall, warm water aquatic fitness and balance ball and body sculpting. Other services offered are: fitness evaluations, wellness assessments, VO2 cardiovascular fitness testing, personal training, weight management and nutrition counseling. We also specialize in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Free information sessions regarding fitness only: are held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Individuals are encouraged to stop by the Center for Wellness and Prevention any time for information or a tour of the facility. Membership for OSU faculty and staff, OSU Medical Center employees, physicians and medical students is available at a discounted rate.
Free information sessions for Weight Management only: are held on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. and the first Thursday of the Month at 12 p.m.
