The lung transplant support group at Ohio State’s Medical Center is informal with the purpose of providing education as well as offering moral support during all phases of the transplant process. The group hosts speakers to discuss various transplant issues and is guided by the social worker.
Joining the support group can provide a great benefit to you as well as your family and friends. Sharing your feelings, experiences and concerns while listening to others in similar situations can provide assurance, confidence and a feeling of security as you are not alone.
The lung transplant support group meets the last Tuesday of the month, January through October. The group is open to those who are being evaluated for lung transplant and for those who have received a transplant. Family members and support persons are encouraged to attend with the patients.
If you should have any further questions, please contact the lung transplant office at (614) 293-5822 or (866) 204-3411.
