Outcomes Data

The OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center, central Ohio’s only adult transplant center, consistently ranks in the top 10 in the nation, both in success rates and in the number of transplants performed. Each year, nearly 400 people receive the gift of life at OSU Medical Center, the result of a transplanted kidney, kidney-pancreas, liver, heart, lung or bone marrow transplant.

OSU Medical Center offers an extensive living kidney donor transplant program, which includes the option of laparoscopic kidney donation. With its smaller incision, laparoscopic kidney donation requires a shorter stay in the hospital and a faster recovery.
