OSU Maternal Fetal Medicine — Special Care for Mother and Baby
For more than 25 years, OSU Maternal Fetal Medicine has been delivering the very best prenatal care to patients who are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. Today, we continue our collaborative approach, which revolves around teamwork, innovation and a passion for excellence. We provide patients with the highest level of obstetrical care in central Ohio, leading-edge technology and an evidence-based approach that reflects the latest research. Our state-of-the art technology and our team of highly trained experts help us ensure that both mother and baby receive the best possible care, and of course, peace of mind.
A Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist, also called a perinatologist, is an obstetrician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of expectant mothers and their unborn babies, who may be at high risk for special health problems. Our MFM specialists can act as consultants, working hand-in-hand with your primary obstetrician, or they can become your primary care providers during a pregnancy.
