The Ohio State University Medical Center has special expertise in the latest technologies directed at the medical and surgical care of the nose and sinuses including: computer image guided endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, radiofrequency reduction and acoustic rhinometry.

Some of the common conditions we treat at Ohio State's Sinus Center include: nasal septal deviation, inferior turbinate hypertrophy (enlargement), nasal obstruction, reduced nasal patency from allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic rhinosinusitis, facial pain related to the sinuses, chronic cough secondary to sinusitis, epistaxis, smell and taste disorders, nasal polyposis, and chronic rhinnorhea (nasal drainage).

OSU Sinus Center physicians also are a regional and national referral center for the treatment of fungal sinusitis, CSF leaks from the anterior cranial base, inverting papilloma, reactive airway disease secondary to sinusitis, recurrent sinusitis despite previous surgery, autoimmune disease related sinusitis, complications of sinusitis, nasal and sinus neoplasms, and the care of the sinuses in patients that are immunologically compromised.
