Orthopaedics

Ohio State's Medical Center was once again recognized as being among the best in the country in Orthopaedics, according to the 2009 U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Hospitals" issue. Our Orthopaedic team offers medical and surgical expertise in the areas of joint replacement, sports injuries, foot and ankle care, spine injury, oncology, hand care and trauma injuries.

We provide the highest standard of orthopaedic care at a convenient community hospital location, Ohio State University Hospital East. Our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery suites are designed to speed you through surgery and get you back to your regular routine in a minimal amount of time. Inpatient surgeries are performed in specially designed orthopaedic suites, and you will recover in a patient unit designed specifically for orthopaedic patients. Whether in surgery, in the patient unit or in rehabilitation, you will receive care by physicians, nurses and other staff members who are specially trained in providing orthopaedic care.

As an orthopaedic patient at Ohio State, you benefit from the research and education that only happens at a hospital affiliated with a major academic medical center. Ohio State’s Medical Center is a national leader in producing medical knowledge and training the healthcare professionals of the future.

In 2010, a state-of-the-art outpatient hand center will be opening at The Ohio State University Medical Center Eye and Ear Institute located at 915 Olentangy River Road.
