Treatment

Although there is no known cure for MS, there are many medications available to slow down the disease. Medications are also available to treat MS relapses (also known as attacks or exacerbations). The links on your left describe the effectiveness of these medications.

Many patients also experience a variety of symptoms throughout the course of their disease.  Medications, therapy, exercise, as well as life style changes can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

In addition to offering the most up-to-date treatments for MS patients, Ohio State is also a leader in MS research and clinical trials. Find out more about research studies that are under way to study new types of MS treatments.
