Patients living with MS have unique challenges, but there are many resources to support you in maintaining your independence and enhancing your quality of life. The following organizations can help provide counseling, vocational rehabilitation, physical fitness programs, social, and recreational activity and literature about MS. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society – The Society and its network of chapters nationwide promote research, educate and advocate on critical issues and organize a wide range of programs -- including support for the newly diagnosed and those living with MS over time. The National MS Society's Ohio Buckeye Chapter – The Ohio Buckeye Chapter serves MS patients through education, information and referral, counseling, assistance with employment concerns, equipment loan programs, social activities and more. Multiple Sclerosis Foundation – This non-profit organization provides MS information including events, online services and educational programs. Multiple Sclerosis Association of America – Dedicated to supporting people with MS, this Association gives information about programs and services for MS patients, fund-raising events and other networking and awareness opportunities. MS Awareness Foundation – This Foundation provides information and service to people with MS as well as education to the general public.
