Benefits of Chiropractic Care
According to the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine, chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the body's structure—mainly the spine—and its functioning. Chiropractors make adjustments (manipulations) to the spine or other parts of the body to correct alignment problems, relieve pain, improve function and support the body's natural ability to heal itself.
Chiropractic care helps relieve many common symptoms including:
- Low back pain
- Chronic neck pain
- Recurrent headaches
- Joint pain
- Whiplash injuries
Insurance Coverage for Massage
More and more health plans cover chiropractic care. Coverage varies by carrier, so be sure to check with your health plan to see if it covers chiropractic care, and if you need a referral from your doctor.
