Fitness Classes

Several classes are included in Ohio State's Center for Wellness and Prevention (CWP) membership cost.

Fitness Classes Include:




Back to Basics

A 1 hour class designed to focus on the basics of strength, balance, and flexibility using a variety of fitness equipment.  This class is open to all fitness levels.

 Monday & Thursday 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


Body Sculpting

Free weights, balance balls and fitness bars are used in this one hour class designed to shape and tone major muscle groups. The class is open to all fitness levels.

Class size is limited to 12 people.

 Tuesday & Thursday - 4:10-5:10 p.m.


Gentle Yoga

The class offers a gentle flowing sequence of synchronized movement. Gentle yoga is designed to clear the mind, strengthen vitality and nourish inner peace. Postures will enhance core strength, flexibility, muscle tone and body awareness.

 Monday & Thursday - 5:30-7:00 p.m.

 Wednesday - 5:30-7:00 p.m.


Yoga Level 2

This more challenging class introduces quick, flowing movement through sun/moon salutations and successive balancing poses. This class is open to all but agility is recommended.

 Tuesday - 5:30-7:00 p.m.


Stretching Class

Stretching class is lead by an instructor who demonstrates and leads the participants through a series of muscle lengthening movements. The stretches target muscle groups throughout the whole body. It will increase flexibility and improve balance.

 Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 8:00-8:30 a.m.
