We give you all the tools and support you need to achieve a healthier lifestyle and weight, which can prevent chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. Our approach to living well includes weight loss, nutrition, behavior change and exercise.

Your program begins with an in-depth orientation with our healthcare team to evaluate your medical condition, identify your current nutrition status and level of fitness and assist you in establishing realistic goals. Your six-month program includes weekly classes, opportunity for health coaching and optional membership to Ohio State's Center for Wellness and Prevention Fitness Center and more. You may continue on after the initial six months with Phase 2 to ensure your long-term success.

Living Well Phase 2

The second phase is a six-month program designed to help you continue your weight loss progress. During Phase 2, more emphasis is placed on activity and identifying and overcoming the behavioral roadblocks that prevent us from reaching our weight loss and lifestyle goals.  Phase 2 includes:

  • Repeat MedGem Test – Your resting metabolic rate typically decreases with weight loss and may be the reason for weight loss plateaus.
  • Three individual appointments – These appointments can be with an exercise specialist, registered dietitian or health coach. An individual appointment allows you an opportunity to do more of the fine tuning of your lifestyle habits.
  • Weekly check-in – This check-in makes you think about the choices you made during the week and their impact on your weight.
  • Weekly education class – The phase 2 classes focus on the underlying issues that often sabotage our success, such as stress and food triggers, and will provide more hands-on exercise experience.
  • Monthly health coaching workshop is available.

Program Cost:

  • $700 Fitness Center membership (three-month payment option also available)
  • $470 without Fitness Center membership (three-month payment option also available)
  • Discount available when program is paid in full at the initial appointment
