This level of care allows patients to maintain family and work responsibilities. Set in three-hour evening or morning sessions, the program operates three days a week.

If clinically indicated, a patient may attend sessions up to seven days a week. There is also a weekly cocaine recovery session that can be added as a part of a patient’s Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program. There is family programming each week and 12-step participation is stressed in addition.

Patients completing IOP are offered continuing care group sessions for one year free of charge. Continuing care groups meet for 90 minutes once a week.

A patient may attend intensive outpatient sessions as a continuation from previous levels of care or as a direct admission to this level of care.
