Susan Moffatt-Bruce, MD, PhD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon, associate professor of surgery and assistant professor of molecular virology, immunology and medical genetics at The Ohio State Medical Center. Dr. Moffatt-Bruce earned her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S., Canada, and her doctorate from the University of Cambridge in the U.K. She completed her residency in general surgery at Dalhousie University and her residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University.
Dr. Moffatt-Bruce’s research has been focused on transplant immunology. Her clinical interests include lung transplant, heart transplant, transplant outcomes and thoracic oncology. In 2009, Dr. Moffatt-Bruce received The Ohio State University College of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award for the Department of Surgery.
