Alex Auseon, DO, FACC, FASE, FASNC, is a cardiologist, assistant professor of clinical internal medicine and director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Auseon earned his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Ohio State’s Medical Center.
Dr. Auseon specializes in multimodality cardiovascular imaging. He was a selected participant in the 2008 American College of Cardiology Foundation Emerging Faculty Program, as well as a selected participant in Ohio State’s College of Medicine Center for Education and Scholarships Faculty Teaching Scholars Program in 2008-2009. Dr. Auseon’s research focuses on integrative noninvasive imaging and evidence-based educational methods. He is actively involved in fellowship education, including analyzing and identifying successful strategies for teaching fellows and young faculty.
