Biography:


Mona Prasad, DO, MPH, is a maternal fetal medicine specialist and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Dr. Prasad completed her Master of Public Health in Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology at the University of Michigan. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University-Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training at Ohio State. In the course of her training she was selected to be administrative chief resident, selected as the Martilla Renee Jones Award recipient, and received the College of Medicine Resident Teaching Award from the graduating medical school class of 2005.

After completing Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship at Ohio State, she stayed to join the faculty in the Department of Ob/Gyn. She remains active in research involving Hepatitis C and Pregnancy and Substance Abuse, is medical director of the Substance Abuse Treatment, Education and Prevention Clinic, and enjoys teaching at the medical student and resident levels. She was awarded the Nicholas Teteris, MD, Teaching Award for outstanding faculty teaching in 2011.

Mona and her husband, Matt Nawrocki, find their greatest joy in raising their young daughters, Nora and Neve.
