Biography:


Ellen Kaitz, MD, FAAPMR, is a clinical assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Medical Center and a subspecialist in pediatric rehabilitation medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She also serves as the founding program director for the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship at NCH, and the director of medical student rotations in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at OSU. Dr. Kaitz has been recognized as on the national Best Doctors Inc.’s “Best Doctors in America” list in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Kaitz earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Mass. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation medicine at DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del.

Dr. Kaitz has published numerous papers and chapters and has spoken locally and nationally on a variety of topics in pediatric rehabilitation. She has also been an invited speaker to medical and political audiences on the topic of disability rights and advocacy.

Dr. Kaitz’s clinical interests are in pediatric spinal cord injury and in spasticity management.
