Blair Vermilion, MD, is a vascular surgeon and an associate professor of clinical surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center. His specialty is vascular surgery with a sub-specialty of venous diseases.
Dr. Vermilion earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Indiana University and a vascular surgery fellowship at St. Anthony Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Vermilion has received multiple awards honoring his teaching achievements at Ohio State, most recently the 2008 Excellence in Teaching Award for the Department of Surgery and the 2008 Ross Heart Hospital “Surgeon of the Month Award.”
Dr. Vermilion is a member of multiple professional organizations including the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery and the Columbus Vascular Society, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has published book chapters and both editor and peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Vermilion is also a frequent presenter on a variety of cardiovascular topics.
