Charles A. Bush, MD, FACC, FSCAI, an expert in the field of cardiovascular care, has practiced medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center for more than 40 years. Dr. Bush was named one of America’s Best Doctors in 2009.
Dr. Bush is medical director of Ohio State’s Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and a professor of internal medicine at Ohio State’s Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency in medicine, chief residency and fellowship in cardiology at Ohio State. Dr. Bush served as chief of staff at Ohio State’s Medical Center from 1991 to 1993 and was director of the Cardiac Catheterization Labs for 26 years.
Dr. Bush is widely published on the topic of cardiovascular care. His clinical interests include ischemic heart disease, coronary artery disease and interventional cardiology. His research focuses on interventional cardiology, pericardial disease, thrombolytic therapy and coronary artery disease. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and Society of Cardiac Angiography Intervention.
