Biography:

My practice is in gastroenterology and hepatology. I treat patients with a variety of problems involving damage to liver cells. My areas of focus include hepatitis that may be due to viruses or caused by medication toxicity. Other areas of specialization include treatment of acute liver failure and liver transplantation. I believe that listening to my patients is very important. My goals include providing them with the information they need, addressing their concerns and partnering with them to make decisions about their own health care. Ohio State offers many resources to support healthcare specialists and patients. The collegial atmosphere here is tremendous. I especially appreciate the focused, team-oriented expertise. When I'm not on the job, I often take time to enjoy cooking or playing a round of golf.
