Neuromodulation treatments provide relief for a wide range of chronic disabilities and disorders.
Our team at Ohio State’s Center for Neuromodulation is a top performer in neuromodulation treatments including deep brain stimulation (DBS) and spinal cord stimulation (SCS).
DBS has been used to successfully treat patients with essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, dystonia and obsessive compulsive disorder. We are also investigating the use of DBS to treat other chronic disabilities.
SCS has been used to treat patients with many conditions including: failed back syndrome (FBS), low back syndrome, radicular pain syndrome or radiculpathies resulting in pain secondary to FBS or herniated disk, post-laminectomy pain, peripheral neuropathy and complex regional pain syndrome. Our Center is also exploring how SCS can treat other conditions.
