COLUMBUS, Ohio – State Senator Ray Miller will welcome visitors to Ohio State University Hospital East’s annual Community Day at 10 a.m. TOMORROW (6/21).
The public is invited through 2 p.m. to University Hospital East, 1492 E.
Broad St., to receive free health screenings and counseling, provided by the hospital and JamesCare, for blood sugar, cholesterol, wound care, dental health, and prostate and breast cancer. The American Red Cross will accept blood donations at the event.
More than 40 community health organizations are participating in a health fair, covering topics such as diabetes, epilepsy, nutrition, domestic violence, cancer and human services.
The event includes live entertainment, including music by the Mark Lomax Trio, a fitness presentation by the YMCA, an interactive, Afro-rhythmic performance and a live remote radio broadcast by MAGIC 98.9 FM. Also, a crew from MedFlight will be at the event.
Visitors will have a chance to enter a free raffle for a “mega” Buckeye basket.# # #
