OHIO STATE NEUROLOGISTS HOSTING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS PATIENT EDUCATION SERIES
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Department of Neurology Multiple Sclerosis Center is conducting a free summer patient educational lecture series starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday (7/22) at the Longaberger Alumni House, 2200 Olentangy River Rd.
Hosted by Aaron Boster, MD, assistant professor of clinical neurology, and Jacqueline Nicholas, MD, MPH, assistant professor of clinical neurology, the lecture is open to patients, caregivers and families. The two other lectures will be held on Aug. 19 and Sept. 16.
Topics discussed at each lecture series will include:
·         Multiple sclerosis update and panel discussion
·         Symptom management (Cognition, fatigue and depression)
·         Symptom management (Bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction)
Multiple sclerosis is a nervous system disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It damages the myelin sheath, the material that protects the nerve cells, and slows or blocks messages between the brain and the rest of the body.
