COLUMBUS, Ohio – Gail Marsh, senior associate vice president and chief strategy officer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center was recognized as one of the 2012 Most Powerful and Influential Women in Ohio. The recognition took place on Oct. 25, at the 5th Annual Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference.
Since 2002, Marsh has led the development and execution of Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center’s strategic plan, resulting in significant central Ohio job growth and economic impact. She works to ensure that Ohio residents have access to quality and affordable health care in their own community by establishing comprehensive outpatient CarePoint facilities and walk-in FastCare clinics, and hospital affiliations across the state.
Marsh leads the business development efforts for Ohio State’s Medical Center, recruiting top national physicians and scientists to advance the future of medicine and improve people’s lives.
Also recognized at the conference, and associated with Ohio State, was Shirley Rogers-Reece, vice president and general manager of McDonald’s Ohio Region and an Ohio State University hospital board member, and U.S. Rep. Joyce Beatty, previously senior vice president for outreach and engagement at Ohio State University.
