MEDIA ESCORTS
For patient confidentiality purposes, hospital policies require members of the media to be escorted by the media relations staff at OSU Medical Center when on the premises. A staff member will gladly make parking arrangements, notify the appropriate hospital staff and assist you in finding your destination.
STAND UPS/LIVE BROADCASTS
Media often conduct stand ups and live broadcasts on the Medical Center campus. In the interest of patient confidentiality and traffic flow, a staff member can assist you with finding the best location for your story. A great location for live stand ups can be found at the edge of the plaza, and also provides a nice view of The Ohio State University Medical Center marquee located on top of University Hospital. This ideal spot resides between West Park and Medical Center Drives, along 9th Ave.
AUDIO/VIDEO CAPABILITIES
The media relations staff at OSU Medical Center has access to a broadcast studio that features a Vyvx TV-1 fiber interconnect for on-demand access which allows for live and pre-taped interviews. Radio broadcasts can also be conducted in the studio which is equipped with ISDN connectivity.
