About Us   

The Regional IV Perinatal Center, funded by the Ohio Department of Health, is designed to promote access to evidence-based and risk-appropriate perinatal care to women and their infants through regional activities with the goal of reducing perinatal mortality and morbidity.

The Region IV Perinatal Center serves all maternity and newborn care hospitals, local health departments and other public health entities. In addition, the Region IV Perinatal Center undertakes activities in the areas of monitoring system performance, facilitating system development and resulting education.

Overall, the regionalization of perinatal care promotes system development and coordination across the complex array of public health and medical care services and providers. The overall goal is to reduce perinatal and infant mortality and morbidity.
