Critical Care Nursing

Multidisciplinary teams work together to deliver care to those who are the sickest and most at risk, including patients with cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, peripheral vascular and general medical/surgical disorders.

OSU Medical Center is at the forefront of leading-edge advances, such as mechanical cardiac assistance devices and robotic-assisted mid-CAB surgery techniques. We're also home to the OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center, a local and national leader in the field of transplantation for nearly four decades.

As a critical care nurse, you will develop and cultivate a broad range of sophisticated clinical skills and experience including: CRRT, cardiac assist devices, mechanical ventilation, IABP, crisis management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring and neuro invasive monitoring. These skills, along with enhanced crisis management expertise, provide a strong basis for career growth.
