The OSU Ross Heart Hospital is one of the first hospitals in the region to specialize in heart care and one of just a few academic heart centers in the country. With all OSU heart services under a single roof, we provide care for heart patients with a wide range of conditions and needs.
The OSU Ross Heart Hospital includes outpatient clinics, noninvasive diagnostics, 90 inpatient beds and "Universal Patient Rooms" (featuring a headwall system with key equipment kept behind an access wall until needed) that enable patients to receive all of their care in one room during their stay. The flexible design of the building allows catheterization laboratories to be used for surgery and vice versa.
OSU Ross Heart Hospital is proud to be designated as a Magnet hospital – the highest award a hospital can receive for nursing excellence and considered the ultimate benchmark in measuring quality of patient care.
Out of nearly 5,000 hospitals in the U.S., approximately 200 are Magnet organizations.
The Magnet Award means that our nurses are among the best to be found anywhere. We're proud of our nurses, and have always believed that the very best in the business are right here.
