Dr. Richard Goldberg is an internationally renowned gastrointestinal oncologist at Ohio State who is a world leader in evaluating new drugs for treating colorectal cancer and in researching inherited colorectal cancer syndromes.

Like Dr. Goldberg, the world’s best and brightest physicians and researchers are coming to Ohio State to create a new model for health care that is predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory. We call it P4 Medicine.

How am I advancing personalized health care at Ohio State? In colorectal cancer, tumors look alike under the microscope but have different vulnerabilities, depending on genetic changes. Understanding the individual patient’s tumor genetics to make informed treatment choices is the key to providing the best possible outcomes.

Columbus wouldn’t be known for cutting-edge cancer research, and our community wouldn’t be on the verge of opening a new James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute that will serve cancer patients from near and far as we continue working together to create a cancer-free world.
